We're Growing in Burkina Faso!

Slightly larger than Colorado, Burkina Faso stands as a landlocked nation in West Africa, with most regions bordered by conflict. There are currently 1.7 million people who are internally displaced due to violence, including almost 900,000 children. Burkina Faso is home to our Love Does School situated in the capital, Ouagadougou. The Love Does School not only provides education to children, but also provides a daily meal and a place to belong. The primary and secondary school currently serves 108 students, and the preschool supports 54 young learners.

Pastor Deme, the School Director, is passionate about the power of education to transform individual lives and, through them, his entire country. His mission is to share the love of Jesus with more and more children in his community and to give them the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty for their families.

Over the next year and beyond, we will be sharing more about the school and our ongoing partnership. We are excited to invite each of you to join us in partnering with the Love Does School and what God is doing in Burkina Faso.

Classroom Sponsorship

Parents and relatives often cannot afford to send the children to school, but the Love Does School operates on a pay-what-you-can basis. One time or monthly donations to support student scholarships - $500 monthly sponsors a whole classroom, $25+ sponsors a partial classroom

Computer Lab

One-time donations to help fund two new computer labs at the school. We are raising funds to purchase 40 computers for computer literacy classes that will give these students a competitive start at the university level. ~$380 per computer or ~$7600 per lab.

Maternelle School

We are seeking donations to build a new maternelle school building (preschool). The total estimated cost will be approximately $150,000. The current preschool is meeting in two homes that have been converted to classrooms. However, it is quickly outgrowing this space. If you would like to contribute to this building fund, please email info@maranathadance.com for more details.
