Help us Furnish our Secondary School in Burkina Faso!
"A lot of my neighbors are planning to send their kids. Next year, the school should have more space."
- Kevin, a proud parent of one of our students.
Slightly larger than Colorado, Burkina Faso stands as a landlocked nation in West Africa, with most regions bordered by conflict. There are currently 1.7 million people who are internally displaced due to violence, including almost 900,000 children.
Burkina Faso is home to our Love Does School situated in the capital, Ouagadougou. The Love Does School not only provides education to children, but also provides a daily meal and a place to belong. The current building provides classroom space for 108 primary and secondary students.
This is the only school in the region, and it’s become a source of hope and admiration throughout the community. Many families in the surrounding areas are eager to enroll their children, so to help meet the growing demand, we built a separate secondary school.
Construction on the new building was completed at the end of June — and now we need your help to furnish it and welcome even more students through the doors!
